My home is situated in Ramsgate, a little coastal village on South Africa's east coast. It is blessed with the best beaches of long stretches of sand and secluded tranquil lagoons... One of the things I love to do first thing in the morning, is take a walk along the sea shore. I love watching the changing light in the sky .  Sometimes if I half close my eyes , I see  ripples of light, dancing on the water. 

Other times there is a pool of light , as if God is shining a search light directly onto the water in a particular spot.  It makes me feel as if I am a part of something much larger than myself.

Every day is a new picture...... different light, different mood, and an opportunity to see things differently.

I am grateful that each new day is an opportunity to start afresh. These walks also provide me with endless inspiration for my painting.. from reflections in quiet rock pools to crashing of waves on the curvaceous rocks, to glorious sunrises and sunsets. These are the things I capture in my seascape and water paintings.
